Forest School Association Worcestershire is made up of Forest School Leaders who are interested in Forest School, in Worcestershire. The aim of the group is to provide somewhere ideas can be shared, questions can be answered, new skills can be learned, and people can meet others who value Forest School and its ethos.
If you attended the Worcestershire Forest School Conference November at Bishops Wood in 2013, you may remember there being a discussion at the end as to whether there was a need for a local Forest School Association group, similar to those springing up across the country. The response was very positive, so a small group of people from across the county volunteered to make the first steps in that direction.
Currently we have a small group of active forest school leaders that meet regularly to arrange network meeting in the county and discuss ideas to encourage forest school leaders in the area to become involved.
Should you be involved? Yes yes yes please! There can be no network without people and you are certain to have seen ideas, tried activities and found solutions to problems that someone else in the county is still looking for. Even if you don’t think you have, and would like to find out what others are getting on with, come along and see the offerings at our network meetings.
